Where are the John Wilkes Booths when you need them? *looks around* Do I have to go to jail now for saying that? >_> Meh... this makes me so angry. I'm just saying that if ANY of you on this list who constantly complain about certain people and have suffrage in the US they should fucking move their asses next year, register to vote and GO VOTE!!! Not going to elections is exactly what causes all this fucking shit. Most people with liberal views think voting is for poopyheads and just don't go vote. And then the world is stuck with this. So, fucking accept your responsibilities and do something!

Well...see its not quite that simple. I have sufferage... I'm a liberal bastard and I should go vote, but I think that I should have the RIGHT to vote... And because I have the right... i have the choice.

I dont vote...and bitch about Dubya because if I take the time out of my schedule to go vote, it would be time wasted. I'm from South Carolina, and my state votes Republican (the whole electoral college thing).

So if i got up, went to vote, i'd be wasting my time because all my state's electoral votes go to the republicans anyway. Now that I've actually moved out my state, but still a formal resident of my home state I'd have to send out for an absentee ballot. That means I'd have to send notice to my government for them to send me back a ballot (and at the rate the government moves, it'd be forever before anything happens) so I'd vote weeks ahead of election day... to a state that would just ultimately disregard my vote anyway.

I know its all about having my voice heard. But why should i try and scream one thing where a multitude of other people scream something else. I'm outnumbered. And I'd rather spend my mornings sleeping than being pissed off that I wouldnt be heard anyway.

Base it on the popular vote, and I'd take my ass to the polls and accept my responsibility. As it is now... I dont have a choice. So I won't waste my time trying to claw through a brick wall with my fingers. Just my situation. :)

Okay, your situation is a little different and the US system sucks mostly. Electorial college is stoneage >_<. But that's not the point. I see that it's a hassle, but that's exactly the reason why some states always vote conservative, because people say "Geeze, my vote won't matter anyway" and they don't go, whereas conservatives have a lot higher voting motivation. The results are that the conservatives always win out then. It might be your vote that throws it all over. Just as a general thing, okay? But right now, yes, I understand. It's a hassle. I still wish you'd use your democratic right to vote though. Because of the reasons I indicated above. But yeah.
