LXG and blue dayoo.
Oct. 4th, 2003 12:46 amJust got back from the theater. I watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, finally. [There shouldn't be any spoilers in here apart from what you already saw in the trailers]. Not sure what to write about it yet. I enjoyed it. It was muchly entertaining. Later I realized that all characters have an amazing lack of depth and character development. I wonder if it's better in the graphic novel? Other than that it was fun. Can't decide which character I liked best. Dorian Gray had a lot of cool lines. From the trailers and stuff I read I thought it'd like Skinner best but then he was barely features so I really have no grounds to like him, do I? Jekyll was cute in his shyness, but again, he had no depth, so I can't tell. The only character to have semi-depth is Tow Sawyer and he's not even supposed to be there. I liked Nemo's fighting style, so I'll pick him XD.
One thing kept screaming in my head though, and I'll loosely quote Indiana Jones: "Nazis, why did it have to be Nazis?". So yeah, we all know they weren't really Nazis, but evil stupid Germans who carry out any order... been there, done that. *yawns*
That's all.
Right now I've got a horrid headache. The day's been rough. Been praying for rain all week so I didn't have to go to my flat with the parents today and paint the doors. Unfortunately, all my predictions that it would rain were ignored and I was kicked out of bed in the wee hours and had to make my way to this wretched place. And sure enough, the rain set in as requested (thanks, weather god), but only when I was already kneeling in front of the door, sanding it down, getting covered in sticky blue dust. I looked like Krishna, really. And even worse, dad hadn't brought any kind of mask, so I breathed in a good portion of that crap. After I spit up blue slime I decided to take some action and duct taped a Kleenex across my face. That worked a bit.
Rain got heavier, paint turned shitty, everybody got wet, whole trip a total disaster. I predict that the paint will never dry, it'll look droppy and ugly and we shouldn't have done it in the first place at that time. But nobody's listening to me, are they.
On the brighter side, I managed to clean the living room entirely, damaged things got fixed, Draco poster was put up and mom helped me sweep the floors. So, at least my flat is pretty inside now.
Now I just need to rest my head. My arms are gonna hurt like hell tomorrow. Sanding really is strenuous. And my lungs hurt ;_;. I breathed in way too much blue dust already.
