LXG and blue dayoo.
Oct. 4th, 2003 12:46 amJust got back from the theater. I watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, finally. [There shouldn't be any spoilers in here apart from what you already saw in the trailers]. Not sure what to write about it yet. I enjoyed it. It was muchly entertaining. Later I realized that all characters have an amazing lack of depth and character development. I wonder if it's better in the graphic novel? Other than that it was fun. Can't decide which character I liked best. Dorian Gray had a lot of cool lines. From the trailers and stuff I read I thought it'd like Skinner best but then he was barely features so I really have no grounds to like him, do I? Jekyll was cute in his shyness, but again, he had no depth, so I can't tell. The only character to have semi-depth is Tow Sawyer and he's not even supposed to be there. I liked Nemo's fighting style, so I'll pick him XD.
One thing kept screaming in my head though, and I'll loosely quote Indiana Jones: "Nazis, why did it have to be Nazis?". So yeah, we all know they weren't really Nazis, but evil stupid Germans who carry out any order... been there, done that. *yawns*
That's all.
Right now I've got a horrid headache. The day's been rough. Been praying for rain all week so I didn't have to go to my flat with the parents today and paint the doors. Unfortunately, all my predictions that it would rain were ignored and I was kicked out of bed in the wee hours and had to make my way to this wretched place. And sure enough, the rain set in as requested (thanks, weather god), but only when I was already kneeling in front of the door, sanding it down, getting covered in sticky blue dust. I looked like Krishna, really. And even worse, dad hadn't brought any kind of mask, so I breathed in a good portion of that crap. After I spit up blue slime I decided to take some action and duct taped a Kleenex across my face. That worked a bit.
Rain got heavier, paint turned shitty, everybody got wet, whole trip a total disaster. I predict that the paint will never dry, it'll look droppy and ugly and we shouldn't have done it in the first place at that time. But nobody's listening to me, are they.
On the brighter side, I managed to clean the living room entirely, damaged things got fixed, Draco poster was put up and mom helped me sweep the floors. So, at least my flat is pretty inside now.
Now I just need to rest my head. My arms are gonna hurt like hell tomorrow. Sanding really is strenuous. And my lungs hurt ;_;. I breathed in way too much blue dust already.

Hey peeps,
fill this out for me, will ya? At least those who know me better. That'd be nice ^_^. I'll return the favor then, of course. I gagged it from
lysimache, but modified it because I thought some questions were idiotic and the amount of kissy-smoochy-huggy questions was way too big and I don't really care about kissing and hugging people who aren't uber-close to me. Which doesn't mean I wouldn't kiss or hug one or the other of you, but I just think it was a bit tedious in this poll.
So, here goes:
01. When did we meet?
02. How did we meet?
03. Have we ever met in person?
04. Have we ever talked on the phone?
05. Have you ever seen me cry?
06. Describe me using three or less words.
07. What is my favorite thing to do?
08. If you could spend a day with me, what would we do?
09. Have we ever gotten in a fight?
10. Have you ever dreamt of me? If so, tell me about it.
11. If you could give me a present, what would it be?
12. What do you REALLY think of me?
13. Do you trust me?
14. Do you know something about me that no one else knows?
15. Do you know how old I am (without looking at my LJ profile! Don't cheat!)?
16. Do you know my real name?
17. Do you know where I live?
18. Anything you wanted to tell me but never got a chance to?
And another survey because I'm bored.

Roy attacked...
Oct. 4th, 2003 12:32 pmOh dear, apparently Roy from the famous magician duo Siegfried and Roy was attacked by one of his white tigers on Friday's show, leaving him in a critical condition. Mew... I like them both and I feel sorry for them. It must be horrible for Roy to be attacked by one of the tigers he's dedicated his life to. Even though I always thought they shouldn't take them to the stage.
Roy, my thoughts are with you. Recover soon.

Oct. 4th, 2003 01:14 pmThis... was odd...
I was sitting at the dining room table, looking at some books. Sherlock came in and began rubbing his mouth against my naked toes and that made me giggle. He wandered off, but I slid to the floor and played with his scratching plate, hoping that would attract him. It didn't, so I acted like a cat and rolled around on the floor (I know, I'm silly). As I was lying there I looked under the dining table. As crazy as it may sound, it must have been the first time for five years that I've done this, because I noticed hair there. Two tufts, one black, one white. And I realized in an instant that this was Tracey's hair. My old dog, my beloved dog, my dog whose pictures I still can't stand looking at... I... I can't believe it that something so tangible of hers is still here. I could touch it... now. But... I didn't. I couldn't bare the idea. I... just couldn't. And as I was still lying there on my back I felt tears well up in my eyes and I just cried... It was really strange...
