Dec. 17th, 2005 10:49 pmThe Christmas Song
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.
And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
A very Merry Christmas to you!

Date: 2005-12-18 11:13 am (UTC)Yeah Lou Reed tends to stick, doesn't he. Well there's Christmas in February, but I'm not sure of that counts as a Christmas song... >.>;

Date: 2005-12-18 11:27 am (UTC)Ahahaha, reminds me of that one song with Dean Martin I heard the other day. He was singing "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer" and then when the part came up where Santa speaks he sang that, quite inexplicably!, in a Yiddish accent! I was like "WTF Jewish Santa?" hahaha
