The Secret of Harry Potter Six and Seven Revealed?

A British tabloid claims to have uncovered the titles of the final two Harry Potter novels. The Sun newspaper claim the sixth and seventh installments of J.K. Rowling's wizard adventures will be called Harry Potter And The Mudblood Revolt and Harry Potter And The Quest Of The Centaur - after discovering the titles had been registered as trademarks with the UK Patent Office. They were mysteriously registered in July by a company called Seabottom Productions, who themselves were formed just days before and who share a London address with the British lawyers of Harry Potter film studios Warner Brothers. Sources close to reclusive Rowling have refused to confirm the rumors - but fans of the global literary sensation are already beginning to speculate if the titles are true, or just an elaborate decoy.

Okay yeah, let's join in with the speculations! Personally, I have my troubles with these titles. I don't think the next book would be called that o.o. Why should Mudbloods revolt all of a sudden. There hasn't been any hints towards that yet. And I also find it hard to believe that the final installment should have something to do with a Centaur in the title. It just seems so... unspectacular. But maybe that's just me. *shrugs*

I agree on the Mudbloods one, cause so far there's no reason for them to revolt, and unless she lets a LOT of stuff happen at the very beginning of the next book (aka letting the Ministry be taken over completely etc.) it seems rather unlikely. The Centaur one... well I kind of suspect they'll at least play a bigger role in the next books, but yeah, it seems unspectacular.

I don't doubt that centaurs will play a larger part but not THAT large a part O.o. Maybe if it's the next part. Then I could buy it. But not for the final installment.

And yeah, so far the "mudbloods" have no reason to revolt, really. And as others already have pointed out, mudblood really is a huge insult, I can't imagine it to be put on the cover of a book from the HP series!

Yeah and why would JKR call them Mudbloods? And the final book should be call something more... final! like: Harry Potter and the Dark Lord

*nods* Mudblood is just too... obscene in HP terms. It's a profanity, in a way, and it seems to be out of place on a book title. And I agree on the final installment. It should be a bit more fabulous than some Centaur quest. He shouldn't have time for that! XD

I can't say much about the centaur one, but I can't imagine JKRowling would EVER use the word 'mudblood' in her book title - she's made a big point about how its an INSULT, and unless hshe's draco in disguise >_>

bah just woke up can't type ;-;

Yeah I agree. That's probably why it bothers me so much. It's like writing a series about the gay community and then using the word "faggot" in the title. Or so ^.^;.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Faggot might be an attrative title for a good percentage of the fandom tho XD;

on [hp_for_grownups] list, someone mentioned that there are like 8 harry potter and the blah blah domains registered, and none of them turned out to be the title of the either of the books... O.O there was a link given to what the others work; i'll have to look and see if i can find it!

but still, it's nifty that they'res alreay some speculation about ph6!

Um, maybe it's just my total Slyth side coming through, but wtf do Mudblods have to revolt against?

The Centaur title- maybe. I just really don't buy the Mudblood one.

I don't think this is the title, but one could imagine a terrorist group made up of disgruntled muggleborns and halfbloods who target purebloods. Would kind of put a spin to the whole thing because then sme muggleborns would be evil. Kind of like CoS revised. Hermione could be suspected, or she could really be a leader in this group though she doesn't agree with the killings. The Weasley's, as well as Draco would be considered targets and be assigned guardians. Even Snape would! Harry might be forced to protect and save Draco, though he'd much prefer not to. Anyway, just a few ideas.

Well yes, this works... for a fanfic. Somehow I don't think HP will ever be this complex. There's good and there's evil. The sides are pretty much defined. Suddenly making Draco "good" or at least "non-evil" as in, not having changed his attitude and yet being in danger and protection-worthy, just won't happen. The best you get is a set of ambiguous characters that might or might not surprise you with a sudden conversion from good to evil, but even then they would clearly migrate over to the Evil Side (tm) as it has always been established. JMHO, of course.

And now I most finish packing! *squeeeeness*

ARGH!!!!!
LJ ate my comment for the second time! This is my third attempt!!!!
GRRRR!

*retypes* (angrily)

You are probably right though of course I want to believe better of JKR. Look at squibs - Filch is evil but Figg is nice and helps the Order.

Of course the titles ate just a decoy. But it would be interesting. I can see Hermione with her passion and ideals getting involved in such a group. She becomes one of the leaders. At first she believes that it can do good but eventually she starts to see from inside the organization how people begin to abandon their morals. Disillusioned, she at first tries to patch things up, because she still believes in the organization. Eventually people start getting hurt and she's torn. What will she do?

Squee! You must be so happy going away! And seeing Fleur! That means you'll be back on *counts* Tuesday? My training for my job starts on Monday so I can tell you about that then. I baked bread last night, and I think I'll have my first taste now. I'm so hungry. I got a very flattering fb on Lost so I'm very pleased. *hugs* I hope you have a great time!
