I must be the only person in the world who has no intention of buying The Towers now and then waste another 45 bucks on the extended edition. Do not support such many making methods, people!
LOL. I did that last year. But now I refuse to support this. I don't have anything against Extended Versions, nothing at all. I think it's nice to give someone the choice between a cheaper, barer version and the complete package. But if they want to do that then PLEASE!!! publish them at the same time! Anything else is just money-making and it's so painfully obvious -.-;. And of course we all know that once all three movies are out there'll be the super-mega limited extended platinum gold edition, 17 discs with scenes never seen before, complete with lifesize cardboard display of Rivendell...!!!
Dude. They pissed me off so fucking much when they did that. Because, I mean, I didn't pay that much attention, I just saw FoTR on DVD and thought "Hey cool!" And I bought it. And omg was I pissed when I found out that it wasn't even really worth it, because there was going to be a better one out in a month or so.
So, I'm not going to buy *any* of them, not until they release the special edition box set with six discs of extra stuff or whatever the hell they're gonna do, after they all come out, you know? 'Cause you know they'll do Return of the King regular, extended version, and then all of them together somehow in a huge thing that everyone will scamper to buy, even though they already have two fricken copies of each movie.
actually, I lucked out; my best friend didn't buy either copies, so when I got the extended version, I gave him my first copy. I'll probably do it again. So it doesn't bother me, getting both
hehe, i'm not buying it either. but if you preorder, the extended edition is only 24$ on amazon.com; cheeper than the regular edition that came out this week! so anyways, i preordered, and rented the other for 3$ at blockbuster. =P
You do know there also going to do "The Hobbit" Also? It's coming out last. Or so i've heard. So it's going to be a long wait intill the fabled (Did i use the wrong word?) 17 disc or so final cut platinum edition or what not comes out. But it should be worth it
