Okay, so I haven't given a rat's ass about fanfiction.net for months, but now I heard that they've implemented unique usernames which isn't such a bad idea on the whole, but this resulted in simple pen names such as mine having gotten numbers added to it. So, now I'm called Silver2 which bugs the hell out of me. Even more so, the one who has Silver is some author who published one story in 99, never has updated since and already stopped being a member. This simlpy bugs me. >_<

Edit:

I should probably count myself lucky. There are 22 Silvers after me -.-;.

Ah, but the very cool thing about it ...

... is that everyone now has personalised htmls for their author's page, so you can now link easily to your profile with: http://www.fanfiction.net/~Silver2

I haven't really been at Fanfiction.net much recently either, mainly reading rather than actually posting. But I do like the thought about being able to easily link to what is generally a personally archive of my work a hell of a lot easier =)

Well I don't doubt that it's easier and a lot more convenient, but if I had seen it coming I would have liked to have a chance to decide whether I want to be Silver2 or maybe change my username to something more unique. I loathe being numbered. But I shouldn't really care since thanks to the no-NC-17 rule I can't put my stuff up there anymore anyway. At least most of it. So, who cares. But it just bugs me to be numbered. Call me silly...
