I made a list of all my DVDs... it's about time, since I keep forgetting which one's I already have. I should also make one for my CDs and my mangas. Especially my mangas. Damn, I haven't been buying any for three months or so because I can't remember which ones I already have and they're spread all over the house and my flat, so I can't even find out which ones I have x_x. I like making lists.

A couple of weird statistics...

I own 112 DVDs.

33 (29.5%) are animated movies.

8 of which are anime (Hm... I don't have that many anime DVDs... *looks at multiple hundreds downloaded animes* ... I suck)

20 (17.9%) of these 112 DVDs are gay themed...

...notable among which are:
  • Clerks - The Animated Series, uncensored (come ooon, how much gayer could it possibly get?)

  • Dogma (Jay & Silent Bob are so gay)

  • Gorillaz, Phase One: Celebrity Take Down (same goes for 2-D)

  • Jesus Christ Superstar (... *innocent smile*)

  • Midsummer Night's Dream, A (Oberon is pretty gay, I don't care what people say)

  • The Road to El Dorado (Miguel and Tulio are so doing it!)

  • Robbie Williams, Rock DJ (XD Okay, I'm kidding... I think)

  • Swan Lake (that performance only features male swans. 'Nuff said)

Movies that feature Ewan McGregor, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers or anybody even remotely related to movies that feature them (such as Rupert Everett or Christian Bale): 22 (19.6%)

Ewan:
  • A Life Less Ordinary

  • Moulin Rouge

  • Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace

  • Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones

  • Trainspotting

  • Velvet Goldmine

[of course this doesn't constitute my complete collection... oh what the heck]

On tape:
  • Serpent's Kiss, The

  • Brassed Off

  • Emma

  • Pillow Book, The

  • Shallow Grave

  • Scarlet & Black

  • Desserts

  • Nora

  • Eye of the Beholder

  • Rogue Trader

  • The BBC Polar Bear thingy

Jon:
  • b. monkey

  • Gormenghast

  • The Governess

  • Ride With the Devil

  • Velvet Goldmine

On tape:
  • Michael Collins

  • The Tribe,

  • Titus

seen... most others, but didn't keep because didn't like
[Geeze, I kinda stopped watching his stuff after 2000. I wonder why]

Others:
  • American Psycho (Bale)

  • A Midsummer Night's Dream (Rupert, who was in b.monkey...)

  • Ride With the Devil (oooh this of course would extend everything to Tobey Maguire, which would then mean Spider-Man... and that then leads to Willem Dafoe which leads back to American Psycho! XD)

  • Shakespeare in Love (Rupert)

  • The Talented Mr. Ripley (R1) (Hey, it's got Jude Law, who is pretty and a friend of Ewan... and it also features Matt Damon of course which then would lead to...)

  • Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron (Damon did the voice for Spirit! XD)

  • Chasing Amy (Damon!)

  • Clerks - The Animated Series, uncensored (same)

  • Dogma (idem AND Alan Rickman who then leads to...)

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter und die Chamber of Secrets (XD!!!!!!!)

I have proven my theory! Everything is interconnected with Ewan McGregor! And I've only looked at it from my DVD collection. Hmmm... I should do this properly, expanding it on Liam Neeson and the such... XD!!!

Okay, I'll stop now...

Thank you! ^_^ I like DVDs because of the many features they have, plus they usually come with a dub for my parents and the original version for me! Yay! *g* And I get deleted scenes, and making-ofs and all the caboodle. There are so many DVDs I still want ;_;.

Re: Swan Lake

Hey! It rocks! It really does! It's awesome! It may sound odd now, as if there were hairy brutes in tutus and stuff, but that's not the case at all. It's extremely beautiful and sexy and aesthetic. The black swan wears this black leather outfit (nuuuu, not like the typical gay leatherguy!) and they're all so slender and pretty. It's really interesting!

Re: 43 secs.

Still! XD

Re: Reign of Fire

I've heard of it and I might eventually watch it, but I'm not too fond of "it's the end of the world as we know it" movies... they depress me.

>>>hairy brutes in tutus
*imagines* LOL! possibly a few bearded ones too.. *g*
ballet? that's like 5 minutes per year is a sufficient dose for me.
(yeah, i'm a peasant. ballet and opera = torture.)

>>>"it's the end of the world as we know it"
it is a darker movie (asi in lighting-wise :) ) but there's a brighter ending.
(wow! that was a masterful summary.. O_o though, i think it pretty much sums it up. hehe.)

LOL! Well, if you don't like opera and ballet, then that's a whole different thing, of course. Although I must admit, I prefer musical to opera, too. I haven't sat through a whole opera in my entire life and ballet tends to bore me after half an hour, or so. But I do love Swan Lake because the music is beautiful and the story is so sad. And Nutcracker. Both are very nice.

You sure you're not a poet? XD

As a lit expert I say that some of the most accomplished poets are factual, down-to-earth, tight-lipped people in real life! ^_~

(P.S.: I still want to answer your American Psycho comment, but hell is breaking loose around here since we're having a party tonight, so I only have time for these quick answers! ^_^;)

I am watching Moulin Rouge right now on DVD. (It´s rented.) I only saw it first time one week ago and it's very good! I can't belive it lost the Oscar to Beautiful Mind! Anyway, Robbie Williams, Rock DJ. I'm so angry at the that video was censored, and how the censored video went on earning nominations! After censoring the video lost its entire point and became exactly the kind of video it was mocking! I hate when irony is lost.

Urgh, yes. The censored video made no sense whatsoever >_<;.

And I agree, Moulin Rouge is a marvelous movie. I'm surprised you're seeing it just now! I guess it didn't get the Oscar since the story isn't really new. Maybe that's it? I mean, it almost is La Dame aux Camelias, with a bit of other elements thrown in. But it's still so nice... *happy sigh*

Clerks gay??

I never thought of the clerks, or Jay & Silent Bob as gay o.o. (though....I have seen Jay & Silent bob strike back. A Certion scene did imply that hehe) Odd, Well i'll have to grab that DVD. I really liked clerks (only saw 1 EP though)
