Went to a Sam's Club of sorts store today and bought mucho nice things. Well, parents did, but it's gonna be yummy. We're having a party this weekend (parents' combined b-day party), so there will be lots of nice food stuffs. Bro and I also got some fried feta cheese and I bought some ready-made feta pita. I had one of them for dinner and it was uber-yummy. Mmmmmmmh. I also got a package of snackable surimi o.o. And some Kitkats. Collecting bonus points, yesiree. And dad bought a shitload of candy stuffs. Yummy... And the by far coolest thing was that I found a codefree DVD player for as little as 50$! I battled my guilt a bit and then went ahead and bought it! Finally I can watch my Clerks DVD again! *huggles it* And The Talented Mr. Ripley and all those region 1 DVDs I had! ;_; I'm so happy...

Meesah ish pleased...

i seriously considered reading it, only then i had a loooong period when i simply couldn't force myself to read anything.

but then krss sent me the Potter books and i started to read that (more out of curiosity than anything) and in end effect i got kinda rekindled, so now, on an' off, i'm into reading worthwhile stuff againg, so chance is i'll get the book.

btw, i discovered i absolutely loooove reading from the screen of my notebook. more than paper. is that normal? O_o :)) the Potter "volumes" and now i got myself all six volumes of 'Dune' from the net (one of my favorites) etc., so there's much to do.. *_*

[LOL! What a pleasant surprise to see you use these smilies! ^_^]

I know how that is. I often can't bring myself to read at all. And yes, good books often kick that off again! Woohoo!

Oy, didn't I offer you already months ago to let you download the texts? Tsktsktsk!

Duuuuune! I must admit, I've only seen the movie *ducks*. And that freaked me out big time! O.o Oh and I once got all those names on Wordshark which made me lose! XD

And yes, I think it's perfectly normal to prefer reading on the computer screen. I mean, some people hate it and can't do it at all, but I find myself being able to read a lot more that way. I can also read faster. Somehow it's easier to skim and scan that way... *shrugs*

[hehe. :) but i do use the O_o often..]

you offered the Potter books? you sure? O_o i mean, you may be right but i really can't remember. i got the ones from krss in march and since then i managed all 5 books. :) yeah, i guess one does read faster from a computer screen. :)

you mean Lynch's Dune with MacLachlachlachlan? well i saw that only once a veeeery long time ago and as i remember, it is one disgusting piece of shit and a huge injustice to the novel. i remember that at the time i thought - what an utterly stupid sci-fi. (i absolutely hate Lynch, btw, guess it shows, eh? hehe.. )
but there's a very cool Hallmark 3-episode miniseries made in 2000 (and then one of the sequels in 2003) which is i think as close as one can get to the novel (though the cast is a bit different as you'd imagine from the book, i mean, Paul's supposed to be 15yo!), but it still is nothing on a par.
the novel is an unbelievable prose with an insanely detailed world. one of the best part is that you read not only dialogue but what the characters parallel think as well. and you always have to check words and terms with a little terminology dictionary at the end of the book. :) well, it's not an altogether easy read.. but i love it! just say if you want to try..
