Urgh... drug rehabilitation isn't fun. Okay, it's not really a drug, but it's an addiction and I'm trying to get off it and it's ... not fun. I can't sleep, I can't breathe, I feel horrible, but I need to stop using it. This is the... I don't know... 10th time or so I've gotten addicted to zylometazoline and now I need to get through withdrawal once again and I bet my ass once I went through this annoying and painful process of sleeplessness and general suckiness again I'll get a cold and will need it again >_<.

*pouts*

This is exactly why I'll never take any drug that can cause addiction. Because I'm very prone to addiction and if this already is hard then God, I don't know how it is for me to get off heroine or something >_<.

you mean the nasal decongestant? i've been using it too with no sign of addiction so far (other than i have to use it, or i can't breathe). but i keep switching it every week with another one, because its effect weakens after a few days.

Ouch, poor guy. I hope you can get off the zylometazoline. I have no clue what it is though. But i'm sure you can do it!

Well, Best of luck to you. See you tomorrow

Yeah, the nasal decongestant. I *always* get addicted to it. And maybe you should ask yourself if you're not addicted already, too, because that's exactly what it does. You can't breathe without it, because even though it decongests your mucosa it causes it to congest again later on, giving you the feeling of needing more of it, even though technically you don't. If you read the instructions you'll see that long-term usages can and will cause chronic congestion and mucosa atrophy. Having felt already the effects of a beginning atrophy I really have to watch out x_x.

I hate this stuff, it's evil, but I have no options since my nasal septum is too narrow and at the slightest sign of blockage I feel like I'm suffocating... o.o Okay, that was TMI. Gah, maybe it's just me. I'm really so prone to addiction. I'm even addicted to chocolate! *cries at the thought of not being allowed to eat any for two more weeks... damn Lent*

Oh well... at least I have my isotonic saline solution *clings*.

Yeah but it doesn't help when I'm trying to sleep T_T.

it seems i have a chronic allergy to some household pest, maybe mites (i'm too lazy to get tested), and i'll rather use something locally than take pills.
my nose used to be totally clogged up by the swollen mucosa, so i had to start using it. but i go swapping it around weekly with oxymetazoline, that i found to have a sufficiently long lasting effect too.
oh well, a body is such a nuisance. :/
