Do you ever feel like this? As if your mind no longer belongs to you, but rather something else that you can't define. You feel drunk, in a way, or intensely focused, nothing else matters but that little cursor on the computer screen moving... moving, forming words, sentences, paragraphs, pages... I wish this feeling wasn't so fragile, easily smashed at the slightest indication of sound. I wish I was more brilliant than that, more of a writer, an artist. Distraction is your worse enemy.

being focused as a writer sure sounds like a great thing.

It's a good thing, usually. But it's also so fragile... I never know when the concentration will be broken and I hate that pressure.
