Just so that you all know. My lovely friend Fleur is here now. *happyhappybouncey* So, I'll probably be posting very little for the next couple of days. Tonight we're going to watch Daredevil and have a nice dinner in the Peachpit and then we're going to stay up all night, watching the Oscars. *bounces more* I just learnt yesterday that Steve Martin is hosting the awards >_<. God, it was awful two years ago. This really sucks... Oh well. Fleur and I will do the joking then XD.

News on war boggle my mind. Isn't it sad that 3 people or so have been killed in combat and over 20 in stupid accidents where they ran their helicopters into each other or someone ran amok? This is exactly what happens when you give Counterstrike playing kids a gun and say "Play war." /bitterness.

To eat or not to eat, that is the question... hm. Nah. I'll wait for lunch. ^_^

*much love to Tom*

*resents counter-strike comment*
Ehem, Counter Strike IMO is one of the better games, it's not a random frag-fest that says "HERE'S A GUN, SHOOT EVERYONE!" Counter Strike specifically encourages teamwork, strategy, and planning. It even punishes anti-social people who try killing their own team!

Yes, I admit, some games have the idea of "kill everyone" and aren't very smart, however even so, These accidents were caused by pilot error, pilots being the people w/o guns and such.

^_^;;; Sowwy, I just dislike people blaming gaming for everything's problems. Yes, games and violence does cause much problems, but you can't blame them for everything.

Counter Strike may not be a brainless shooting game but just like any other game with an objective like that it lowers the bar for violence. You learn to think strategically, yes, but most people disregard that while they're planning their missions they're also killing people. Everything shifts out of proportion and this is the problem I'm seeing with things like that.

For that point, yes, I agree, however if they're all going to war anyhow, then there's going to be killing anyhow. Blame W. Bush for that.

But my point also remains that most of these deaths you're talking about have nothing to do with haphazard gun use, but are pilot mistakes, artillery mistakes and the like. None of which involve the point and shoot mentality of guns and shooter games.
