I just drew a nice picture. With a red dragon. Then I thought maybe the dragon would be nicer in a different color and changed the color to purple afterwards. Now I don't know which version is better. Help?

Meh... I don't know... Somehow I'm not pleased with the picture. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with it?

I like the red one better ^^

Hmm, what's wrong with it...I like it anyway ^^ Maybe that gap in the middle? Between the rocks, I mean. Maybe you should put some more rocks in it. And the nest where the egg is lying in seems a bit too bright for me. Maybe you could use some darker shades for that.

But for the rest, I love it! Pretty dragon~~~ *pets*

Well, the egg is supposed to have some sort of... magical glow to it, y'know? But I see what you mean... Hmmm... I like the red one better, too. *nods* My dad suggested making the dragon bigger in the picture. I tried that and it looking nicer.

*looks at dragon being petted*
Dragon: *purrs*

O.O;;;

both the red and purple are good.
I think the egg looks too cartoony being in a nest that's too small for it, and sitting perfectly upright.
I also think the pic needs more stuff in the sky it's empty there.
It is still a really great picture.

*rubs chin* You're right... the egg looks somewhat cartoony. You think messing the nest up a bit will help? Not sure if I can change the position of the egg, since it'd probably make the light look a bit odd... but I'll try.

Hmmm... stuff in the sky... I wanted to keep it simple. maybe I'll add a couple of clouds and see how it looks.

Thanks for the comments ^.^

Oh is this ina 3d do dah?
Nift!
maybe you can tilt the egg lik 15 degrees toward the camera then rotate towards the mountain a bit.
play around with it.
Maybe you can make the egg a faint light source so the ground i the shadow of the egg is faintly lit?
I think a messier, wider nest would look better for a dragons nest.
I totally think the pretty much empty sky thing would look great; just break up that one huge mondo cloud into smaller spacd out ones.
I think that the one huge cloud sorta of changes the color of the sky and makes us not think they are clouds.

O.o; No, I didn't use any 3D programm for that. Just saying I had this sort of lightsource in mind when I drew it. It's drawn with pastels and enhanced on the 'puter ^.^;.

Hm I was thinking about the light source, too, but I really suck at drawing that... I wouldn't know how. I'm not very good and light-shadow...

Thanks for the tips on the sky. Gonna try that!

Red.
Is it guarding it or wanting to eat it?
It looks so benign in the pic.
Love it!
