Is there anybody who happens to know US geography really well? I need help... I have no idea where Estes Park and Long's Peak is and how it can be that Meriwether Lewis apparently was in the Rocky Mountains, just as Isabella Bird, but he was in Missouri and she seems to have been in Colorado and I thought the Rocky Mountains were in Arizona... *feels stupid*

Oooooh! I see! Thank you! But how can I understand this then? My copy of the Journals of Lewis & Clark says "to the sources of MISSOURI, thence across the ROCKY MOUNTAINS and down river COLUMBIA to the PACIFIC Ocean". I tried to find any place that I recognized as Rocky Mountainish, but I just can't! >_

Oh! The journey of Lewis and Clark isn't very easy if you're not a little familiar with what the fuck they're talking about. ^_^ The Columbia River they're talking about is over in the area of Washington state (and thus why they can reach the Pacific from it). So to get from Missouri to the Columbia River they'd have to go across the Rocky Mountains.

Okay! Gotcha! ^____^

Well, I'm comparing Isabella Bird and Meriwether Lewis and I was hoping maybe they had the same route at some point... ^.^; Guess they didn't. *scraps that* Oh well...
