When I tried to boot my computer this morning, it wouldn't boot and there was this message on a black screen, in a really strange, non-BIOS font that said "EC/KBC update ready. Insert EC/KBC boot disk and press any key to continue". Eep! I then switched it off and the computer was completely dead. Wouldn't even move. I then opened the battery latch, took out the battery and put it back in. After that it booted just fine. My dad had the idea to put in the plug which was good, because apparently the computer was very low on energy. It was fine then, not even a scandisk or anything. I just checked online for that error and it seems to be a Toshiba specific one, related to the keyboard... very strange...
*whimpers*
Edit:
Just cleaned my keyboard real nice. Maybe that helps. Sheesh. I must have had half a cat in there! ^_^;;;

Date: 2002-11-25 03:32 am (UTC)A while back, our VCR wouldn´t work, so we called the TV-repairman.
He came. He opened up the VCR and saw that it was full of cat hair.
After he had cleaned it, it worked fine.
