Just woke up. I slept really long it seems o.o. But I needed that, I guess. Also, I realize I need to clear out my wardrobe. So much crap in there that I'm never going to wear again and the parish is collecting old clothes tomorrow. My clothes mostly are still in good condition, I just don't like them anymore, so it'd be a crime to throw them away. It'd be good to have somebody wear them who needs and appreciates them. So, I might be doing that later. And I need to write, of course. For the first time, I'm starting to fear I might run out of things to write... It's very strange. Don't know what I'm doing wrong that it all happens so fast... o.o

Tonight I have to go to this stupid event. I don't want to. It sucks not to be able to curl up at home and have my peace and quiet... *sighs* And I miss my Tom... *whimpers a bit*

Watching "Noah" right now with Tony Danza. This is odd. I mean, they have this story of a guy, Norman L. Waters, who gets the job to build a new ark because God is going to flood the world again. It's basically the same story as the Bible, with Noah / Norman being doubtful, needing special persuasion, everybody making fun of him etc. It's funny. But still... Didn't God say he'd never flood again? It kinda bugs me to ignore that for the sake of a movie. I bet all those religious zealots probably think it's really cool to bring the Bible close to all those kids who watch this movie... never mind the fact that this movie clearly contradicts something that is said in the Bible. But do they care? No! Because this isn't important, right? It's just the Ark, not something reeeeeeeeally bad like... homosexuality or abortion, right? Sheehs...

*stretches* Oh well... I'm rambling... *munches cake* Dunno... my mom makes a lot of cakes lately, but she always uses apples in them because we have so many. But I don't like apples in cakes... or any cooked apple for that matter... I like fresh apples a lot, but I don't like them cooked... most fruits or vegetables actually... Well... it sucks, because the cakes all look and smell so good and when I eat a bit I don't like it... mow...

That he did. Just had a huge conversation on this the other day with my roommate's boyfriend. (It's Genesis 8:21-ish, if you're curious.)

Yeah, definitely bugs me. It's kinda like, oh, an important fact that they just threw out the window there.

The movie people had a nice idea in theory, but they could have just made a movie about Noah instead of making it all modern and stuff. But instead they sacrifice truth for something that will make it more appealing to everyone that watches it it... dumbing down/changing the facts of Christianity to make it more digestable. Grr.
