The few times I got drunk on absinthe I felt like I was burning alive. I could feel every single drop rolling down my throat till it reached my stomach and burned a whole in there.

I didn't get the hallucinations and the little pink elephants but I was drunk for days after that.

Hm, strange. I don't think that it had any effects on me whatsoever. I was more drunk from a bottle of beer than that. Quite contrary even, I felt very rejuvenated and alert. Not as if I had had an alcoholic beverage. o.o And I didn't think it was that burning either. Then again, I love whiskey, so I'm used to burning... ^_^;;
