If you said older than 11, what do you think is the problem? Why doesn't he look that young?

The facial expression, to me, says he is 13-14.

Thank you ^.^ I like the arms, too. That's why I kinda don't want to change the pic anymore, because I know that if I do, I'll screw it up. Or when I try to redraw it, it won't look that nice anymore... ;_;

Hmmm... well, I can live with his face making him look older. After all, he only is in a younger body. His real age is several thousand years...

Oh, you helped a lot! ^.^ Thankee! I agree... it's the arms and the stomach... meow... Guess I have to deal with that, since I kinda like the arms... *is insecure*

Not knowing *anything* about the character: Face, arms, stomach... the hands, while awesome, seem *too* elongated and well defined for someone that young. 11-ish year old people are still kinda chubby in spots, getting rid of their baby fat. The face is too thin, even tho it is anime-styled, for that age.

I agree... *whines* You're right in all points. *wonders if there's a way to make him look younger without changing too much*

And yeah, he kinda only looks like a 10 yo (or is supposed to). In fact, he's thousands of years old.

Well, regardless, it's still an awesome drawing. Maybe in his race, 10 year olds look like that. ;)

The lines under his eyes make him look jaded, plus his eyes themselves are too knowing and grim. His body seems too lean and too well-defined to be 11, like he's post-puberty.

Heh. Well then he isn't actually 11, and he isn't going to look it. Unless he actually aims to appear like a normal 11-year-old, in which case he would have a more youthful expression. ^^

the body looked too defined so i figured he was older. i don't think that the face makes him look older though. but age is tricky.. it really depends on how this character's looks compare to other characters older or younger than him.

but that's the cool thing when you're the artist: you make all the rules. if you say he's 11, he's 11. the rest of us simply have to nod :p But it's a nice sketch, and lotsa ppl here seemed to guess his age correctly, so you don't have to change anything 'bout it if you don't want to ^_^

Before I read the comments, I thought "This person is over 1000 years old." Interesting.

I think it's a combination of the look in his eyes and the semi-smile that does it.

Thank youuuu! That comment made me very happy! *hugs* That's exactly the effect I was aiming for. So, maybe he does look a bit too old, but I doubt I'll ever get the expression right away if I redraw it...

^_^ I guess I'll just leave it this way.
