Okay... *decides to go the long way back* Kazuma Kodaka wrote Kizuna which is a kick-ass shounen-ai manga and among the most famous ones. It tells the story of Ranmaru and Enjouji, the latter being the first but illegitimate son of a yakuza (mafia) family, but not wanting to have anything to do with it (ask we later to ellaborate in great length, if you're interested! *g*). In book six the actual storyline only took half of the book and the other half was a mini-series called Gun & Heaven, about a young orphan, Tashiro, who hires a professional killer, JB, to teach him how to shoot and kill etc. so he can take revenge for his friend who has been raped and almost beaten to death by some thugs. Of course, Tashiro falls in love, but JB tells him not to expect anything from him. Later then, Tashiro runs out, without being prepared, to kill the thugs and gets into big trouble. JB has to save him. They finally sink into each other's arms. But the next day, JB is gone, leaving him a letter that he has to leave before he "soils this angel". Tashiro breaks down and cries. Then he leaves his town to become a professional killer himself.

This is how Gun & Heaven ends. Later in Kizuna, they meet again. Tashiro has been introduced before as the bodyguard of Kai (Enjouji's younger brother, the legitimate son) and his adversary turns out to be JB who has been hired to kill Masa (the leader of the yakuza family Kai and Enjouji belong to, Kai is in love with him). It ends with JB not fulfilling his contract and leaving together with Tashiro. Awwwww... we never see them again (at least not until book eight), so naturally, I'm very excited to see that they're going to have a seperate series! *bounces*

I've got scans! Teehee!

*shiny eyes*
