I just had to cry so hard. I watched a documentary on Walt Disney. I cried so much when they talked about how he died... *sniffs* His daughter was telling the story. She said they came into the hospital room and they saw him lying there, hands crossed over his chest. He had died. His brother Roy was sitting at the end of the bed, massaging his feet, whispered, "Well, I guess this is the end, kid..." God I cried so hard. I was reduced to tears before when that clip from Bambi was on, but this was simply too much. How she said she had never seen so much love in her uncle's face....

*cries* How sad... I agree. Walt Disney. Genius. Period.

I saw bambi for the first time when I was 22 years old. I cried when Bambi's mom was shot.

And I'm not ashamed of it.

What I'm ashamed of was having a slight crush on Aladdin for a while, lol.

That scene always makes me cry. :) I just watched part of Bambi in Arapaho (a Native American language). Very cool.

Of course! Bambi, and ANY Disney film for that matter, has been dubbed in almost every language of the earth! I can't believe you didn't know that! *g* Disney holds the record for the most dubbed movies, I believe. (Baywatch for TV series! *chuckle*)

The Arapaho language is dying out, apparently. Grandparents can't communicate with their grandchildren, because they don't understand their native language. So this guy asked Disney to dub Bambi in Arapaho, so children can watch it with their grandparents and learn the language. There's only about 2,000 copies, but my anthropology professor has one. ^_^

"Class, first the anthrophormism of Bambi"

"after that, Levi-Strauss's the Raw and the Cooked"

"not that, unless you eat venison, the two are related"

Bambi must have been the first movie I've ever seen in theater, when I was 5 or so. It's not my favorite though, but very nice. Aladdin! Oh yes! One of my moooost favorite! I had a crush on him, too. But Jasmin was so much cuter... hehehe. But my all-time favorite drawn man is Phoebus of Hunback of Notre-Dame. He's so cute... *sighs*.
