Okay... they say when God closes a door somewhere, he also opens a window somewhere else. Of course it's kinda cheesy, but I must say, it proved to be true many times in my life before. Mainly when I was worried about financial issues. I was SO out of money, I was sad and depressed because I couldn't buy stuff I wanted and this and that etc. Like the past few weeks. If you read my LJ you know that I broke Vincent and that it depressed me endlessly and I cried because having him repaired costs more than my monthly salary which I owe my dad for something else already anyway, which meant that I was out of money for the next 2 months although I had expected them *desperately* since, of course, I wanted to see my girlfriend in 2 or 3 months.

Now, I sent Vincent out to be repaired anyway. I need him after all. Last week then, I checked my balance and I noticed that I had more money that I thought I should. Not insanely more, but a wee bit. Then, yesterday I got my bank statements and saw that my salary was twice as high as it should be. Either, I got a raise which my boss promised my since August, or I got my Christmas gratuity. Anyway, I've got more money. Today, the repaired Vincent arrives and the invoice says "0.00". o_O Does that mean I got it for free? I wanted to call and ask if that was a mistake, but my dad said I shouldn't be so silly and just wait and play dumb.

I mean... I don't dare to cheer just yet. Maybe my boss realizes tomorrow that she gave me too much money and wants it back, and then the Psion folks remember to send the real invoice... So... I won't. But it's kinda weird... isn't it?

..now, ask for a million dollars! *chuckles*

And hey, they actually have a Psion repair service there? Damn... And to think when the spring inside the space for my screen pen got bunged up I had to crack my skull trying to fix it O.o

eh?

I'd never *ask* for stuff like that! That's when it doesn't happen! It's true!

You don't have a Psion repair service? o.o They exist all over the world and they're really efficient, too! Next time, ask me and I'm a-gonna look up the nearest addy in my handbook! This is strange, really! I mean, here you can even buy replacement stuff in stores! Like, 10 more pens and what have you!

Neh, I live in a stupid place. -_-~@ The closest repair service is across the ocean in S'pore... :oP ~*bleh~*

And, no, I don't think they sell Psions here... mine was from S'pore as well... They only sell lousy 'puters which don't last very long. It's not that easy to get a Dell or a Gateway here. There's about ONE Gateway store, in only God knows where, and ...ye gods. I've wanted an mp3 player or an MD player for ever so long but they've only got.. what... 2 models of MD players here & no mp3 players. And the prices never fall either - those items have been in the damn showcase for about two years O.o

In short, I live in a jungle where such high-tech items are unsaleable, most prolly... *sigh~* They'd rather play with the latest WAP phones (and, wahey~ we don't even have WAP yet! -_-)

...And you kinda wonder what this computer student is gonna do here after she graduates -_-~@
