On the topic of Fanfic: it amuses me greatly. It's very hard to come by fan fiction that's not complete drivel. I think most of these people are complete dorks. I mean, I won't post here and lie to you by saying that the thought of Mulder and Krychek together hasn't fleetingly crossed my mind, but there's no freakin' way I would spend forever and a day writing fan fiction about it, and then post it on the internet for everyone to read! Geez!

If someone writes a few fanfic stories now and then, I don't worry too much about them. If someone writes dozens and dozens of fanfic stories (usually about the same sets of characters), that is when I start to think that a screw is loose. It's like a cry for help, only when you try to invade their realm and help them, they cut you down as quickly as possible. Addiction, I guess.
