Hey guys, have you seen? You can now set entries, journals and communities to "adult content". Likewise, you can filter out stuff set to that. I think that's a very good thing in terms of parental control and protection of minors (as well as those making adult posts). On the other hand, it'll probably only be cool until people start flagging "gay stuff" just because it's gay -_-. Oh well, we'll see how it plays out.

Anyway, I just snooped through the settings and saw that mine at least was set to "use moderate filtering". So I suggest you go there and adjust the setting according to your preferences!

ha, yeah i saw the new flag button on the profile page of one of my communities and immediately went to [livejournal.com profile] news to see the shitstorm that i knew would happen over that.

though it's not as militant as i would have expected from lj, so perhaps it's a good thing.
