Kinda silly and old news, but I made this this morning and don't want to lose the link.

House's response to New Jersey's recognizing the right to same-sex unions.

Hi!

Did you write the House/Saw crossover Altruism?

If so, I just want to say that I missed it on LJ (I was waiting for the last part but missed it) and have just read the full fic on Squidge and absolutely loved it!

If you didn't write it, sorry for the intrusion, I'll slink off now...

Hey there! Yes, that was totally me! *g* Thanks for taking the time to find my LJ and leave me a comment about it! I appreciate it! ^^ And I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was always a little worried at how people would take it on the whole, and the upbeat ending specifically. So I'm relieved to see that at least some people liked it! *g*

Yay! My memory is still vaguely intact!

I tried to comment at Squidge but it wouldn't let me.

Something like that needed an upbeat ending - and to be honest, I'm a fan of happiness, I'm a wuss and I don't like sad endings. I don't mind if the journey is long and arduous (and phew! that particular journey was harsh!)as long as it ends on a happy note.

I am usually quite lazy about commenting, which is my bad, but I felt I should take the time to find you because I remember reading you were worried about how people will take it. I am attempting to write something different for the [livejournal.com profile] hw_fest and I am fretting a little bit about how people will take it, and I know how postitive feedback cheers a writer up, especially if the piece is a bit different from the norm.

And the feedback from me is - A+++++++!

Sorry for the ramble, but typing loads meant I could stare at yr icon. Oh my, that is nice!

Weird that Squidge won't let comment. Then again, I don't think I've ever gotten any comments via Squidge, so that might just make sense! XD;

And yes, I felt the same way. I mean sure I could have let it end utterly depressing with them both dying and what not, but what would be the point of that? My idea had been to show a lovce that's greater than self-preservation and I felt that it was important to show that it paid off. And it's not like it's all sunshine and roses immediately either. So yeah, I thought it worked. Some people disagree, but I guess that happens! ^^

Oh how I can relate to the fear of trying something different. It's really a wicked cycle. When you do something you usually don't do, you end up drawing in people who ignored your stuff before because what you did then didn't interest them. And next time you go back to doing what you usually do they'll probably get put off and leave again. And then you kinda go "Buh?".

... yes, it's complicated. I sometimes really wish I could just ignore all that! haha

And thanks for liking my icon XD. Yours is nice, too. The latest episode was such icon fodder, wasn't it??

My fav part of Altruism was how it wasn't over once they got out of the cellar - there were still issues that needed to be resolved. House not letting Wilson see him was so sad! And then it went all cute (I loved Wilson saying he was glad the leg was gone) and then there were kisses and it was all eventually YAY!

I haven't written anything for so long that I think people have probably forgotten all about me! But I am trying something different not just for HW but for me generally. It's a sci-fi fic and I've never written sci-fi before! LOL, oh well, at the end of the day, it's just writing for fun (so long as I don't look at how many members the HW comm has - eeek!)

I haven't seen any of season 3 yet! I will try and get some time to DL them but I will probably have to wait for stoopid UK telly to catch up early next year *grumps*

Oooh sci-fi House? That'll be interesting! o.o

Aw :(. That sucks. I just thought you knew the episode since you had that icon there ^^;. I thought that scene was especially pictoresque *g*. I'm not in the US either so I have to help myself with dls and stuff, too. You really gotta wonder why it's always taking people so long to spread the new seasons around >.<.

Well, in a way, I sort of like not watching it straight away. I read everything about it, get it in my head and by the time I watch it, it's totally different to how I thought it would be, so it's like getting two episodes for the price of one!

If I tried, I could DL and watch straight away but House is the one TV show me and my boyfriend both agree on, so I like to watch it with him. (He doesn't like laptop viewing).

If you're not in the USA where are you? I'm in sunny old London, which isn't that sunny but is old.

LOL ICON! Robin's a dweeb!

Making your own episode in your head is a nice thing! But personally, I angst too much about the show, worrying whether they'll end up messing up things I like and stuff ;_;. So I can't bear it and just have to watch it ASAP.

Hm yes I know what you mean. My bf is in the US and we hardly ever get to watch House together physically, so we always dl it together, then open a chat and watch it at the same time, chatting about it as we watch XD.

And if you don't mind I'd like to not answer this question too publicly. I'm a little silly that way ^^;. Long story. But you'll figure out eventually where exactly in Europe I am *g*.

I totally agree with your icon btw. Batman is NOT GAY! Hehehe...

I think I like the show a bit tooo much and that there is nothing the writers can do so sate me, so making up my own eps (I've done this since childhood - Battle of the Planets was my first) is often as good if not better than seeing them!

In fact, there is an entire episode where House and Wilson spend the whole day in bed and Cuddy is leaving irate messages on the answerphone whilst Cameron, Chase and Foremand are trying to diagnose the patient's symptoms - have you seen that one?

Sorry! I was just being nosy and of course I don't mind you not answering. I put a lot of trust in my LJ friends and I've given away where I live and where I work - easy money for a professional stalker! I wouldn't normally, but I don't mind people knowing I live in London ('cause you know, it's a pretty big place..) and I would never normally let people know where I work but I was so excited when I got the job that I had to vent it somewhere.

No I haven't seen that episode! Damn, my TiVo has failed me! XD You didn't happen to record (write) it, did you? *g*

And don't worry, it's not you being too nosy, it's just me being weird.
I just don't want people to draw conclusions on me and my writing based on where I'm from. So I like to shroud myself in mystery o___o.
