I think someone translated my Harry Potter fic into Finnish! What gives? Not that I mind but it would have been nice to be asked >.>;. Seriously. Can someone who knows Finnish go there and check it out for me? liliyomy? Anyone? Does it say anything other than the fic and is the translation somewhat decent? I'd also be curious about the comments... Geeze, I hope it's Finnish at all... LOL.

Haha, this is weird. That makes the translations of my fic... *counts* Japanese, plus doujinshi, Chinese... yeah I think that's it. No wait, I was asked about more than that... but I forgot. Geeze, shoulda kept better records. Oh well. Add Finnish to that! LOL...

Hey cool, and yes, it's Finnish. That's one of the largest Finnish fic sites there is I believe (my sister reads those. I've read only in English so I didn't realize they had translated your stuff).

It's gonna take me some time to read through it all, but I will. At first glance they seem to be loving the fic. "one of the best h/d I've read" and "lots of feeling and deep character descriptions" they say. Someone was wondering why you haven't updated your own site for three years but I will read more carefully when I have the time.

I'll start reading when I get back home this evening. I think I have to read some of it in English again, as well, cause I have a bad memory. XD

It's amazing some people translate for those who don't know English, but yes, I can't believe they don't ask you first.

I don't really mind so much, I was just a bit like "Buh? wtf?" I mean, I like to keep track of my stuff. However, I was thinking that maybe the person who translated it tried to contact me, but it failed since my spam-addy that I used to use for my fic contacts is no longer accessible for me. But then again, it doesn't take THAT much effort to track me down, I'd like to think. Especially since they seem to know where my homepage is and from there it's not that difficult to contact me.

You don't need to read the fic or anything. It's not like I need an in-depth analysis. Just a general impression of yours whether the translation is good or not. Also, does it actually refer to the fact that it was translated? >.>;

I'm kinda tempted to register an account and contact the person, just out of curiosity. But I don't want to come across as some livid author who's upset at having her work stolen, because that's not what I feel at all. I just kinda want to know what people are saying about my fic and I feel like it would be the translator's duty to translate the comments back to me. That's basically the payment I get for my writing, that people say stuff about it and I get to enjoy it. JMHO...
