Public post for Tom's friends who aren't on my f-list

For everyone who's been wondering about Tom.

You probably know he's from Florida and was hit full blast by Hurricane Wilma. I can assure you that he's doing fine. No personal or material damage has been suffered except for the usual wind damage and a fence which had been put together shittily by SD beforehand. Right now the biggest problem they have is that they are part of Ye Bigge Power Outtake. Yesterday, the official estimation for the Florida Electricity Company majiggaz was four weeks to get all of Florida back running. Note, this doesn't mean Tom will actually be powerless for four weeks, it means this is how long it'll take for all of Florida to be back on. So technically, Tom could have his power back tomorrow, or he could get it back in 4 weeks :-/. Anything's possible. Right now I can't even check on him because apparently the phonelines died, too, now. I tried calling before and I kept being told that my call cannot be completed due to technical difficulties. No shit, Sherlock. I'll just trust Tom is okay :-/.

That's a bit like the Hurricane Gudrun situation in Sweden in January. The south parts were without power for six weeks. Makes you feel very grateful.
