Total number of films I own on DVD/VHS: 216 (not counting the DVD sets and all... my Sherlock Holmes box has like 30 DVDs in it alone O.o. And yes, I'm keeping an always up to date list).
DVD: 216 O.o
VHS: Oh... eh... a dozen or so maybe.
The last film I bought:
Van Helsing Special Edition.
The last film I watched from start to finish:
Uuuuh... I think that was Lost Souls. Or Star Wars.
Five films I watch a lot, or mean a lot to me:
Gilda, because it's awesome and I love the cinematography and Ballin is gorgeous and the Johnny / Ballin dymnamics are wonderful and of course Rita Hayworth as Gilda is fucking amazing. Plus, it's one of the few films noirs with a happy ending.
Pretty Woman, I used to watch it a lot more when I was smaller and this probably still holds the record for most watched movie. It's just a cute little romance that I've liked for a long time. You could probably put Dirty Dancing in its place as well but I don't have that one on DVD yet so I only watch that one when I happen to catch it on TV.
The Exorcist, it simply is the scariest movie ever. It's awesome and I just can't get enough of it. I love father Karras, the underlying themes such as crisis of faith, the dramatic build-up and the classic quotes such as "Your mother sucks cocks in hell!"
Any Disney movie, I wouldn't be able to make a pick. I just love them all and watch them regularily. For some reason they always make me cry, in a good way. There's a silly scene in every movie that accomplishes that. And I also happen to know most of the songs by heart XD;. And it taught me a lot of useful things such as what a heron is and the word "genuflect". *g*
The Court Jester / The Great Race, again I couldn't really pick. It's just one of the old comedies I used to watch a lot with my bro and dad and still love. You could add The Crimson Pirate to that list, too, if you wanted. They're just lovely, funny, have so many nice elements. Need I say more?
Five people I'm passing the baton to, and why:
tomkayito, because we discuss movies a lot.
kribban, because she watches a lot and always has a profound opinion on things.
no_ron, because I'm curious of his answers.
meadowgirl, because I always make her suffer along with me, muahaha!
seal7, just to be annoying.

Date: 2005-05-12 10:38 pm (UTC)Well I just can't resist special editions! ^^; Like the bloopers are cool! And I noticed that they've cut out a SHITLOAD of scenes! (which aren't on the SE either, btw) This could explain the insane amount of plot holes and nonsensical element and we probably would have gotten a special extended edition or something if the movie had been even remotely successful...
I still hate the end >.<;.
