Can anybody tell me what the fuck is wrong with the DVD release of Phantom of the Opera in Europe? I practically can't find the slightest bit of information about the release dates, especially for the special edition! And it's to be released in the US tomorrow! Usually amazon & Co. tease you with release dates months before the actual release, but here? Not a word of it. What the fook?

Well that's the same as the US version, but without the Deluxe in it. But I'm looking for the multi-lingual version, if you know what I mean (even though it was fucking awful). Well, if I can confirm that there won't be any special edition I might just buy the US one then. But it's always such a hassle to try to watch Region 1 DVDs...

they sometimes wait with special edition releases a couple of month from the regular release.. for reasons both quite obvious and annoying.. :/
for example the 'Underworld' SE european release was a year lagging behind the regular.. and no way i'm buying it! their loss.. idiots..

Yes THAT is fucking annoying. Especially when they don't reveal their plans. I mean, with Lord of the Rings you at least KNEW there'd be the special edition 6 months later. It was annoying but you knew you could sit it out. When they don't tell you at all you go ahead and buy it and then later are pissed off because they now release the DVD with the goodies! >.<; I like it best when they release both versions at once. That way average joe can pick the normal one and save a buck and the fan can buy the deluxe version for a bit more. However, I know that in the US there's a plain and a deluxe version. Not so in Britain. Fuckers.
