I like big bugs and I cannot lie...

I've always liked insects, I must confess. My love for them has expanded far beyond the point of rescuing them out of the water (which I still do of course). I find them pretty and fascinating. I love watching them. The only species excluded are spiders. They scare the shit out of me >_<. I wish I didn't have this phobia, but I can't get rid of it.

Anyway, for a while now I've been visited by a strange fellow whom I found very fascinating. He (I'm simply assuming it's a he) moves strangely, almost like a hummingbird and he has a long snorkle like nose. Today I managed to find out his name.

So now, ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you...

Mr.Humming-bird Hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum)!





Isn't he cuuuuuuuute? *_*

Not to be confused with the Bee Fly (Bombyliidae), of course, who is equally as cute.

hehe, i know the Macroglossum stellatarum too. isn't it an interesting thing to observe? it really is like a hummingbird..

-.-; *I* know that, but everyone I confessed my passion to so far made fun of my for being scared of spiders ;_;. I know they're a class of their own. Together with the scorpions which I abhor too. Must me the class...

You know which animals I also love? Crustaceans! I think lobsters are so lovely. Not to eat, of course. Or the Maki frog. What a cute thing. I also find tapirs and capybaras fascinating. I just love odd animals ^_^.

but if i look more closely at any single thing, i can't help but find it odd. i find it absolutely odd that anything exists at all, thus even a single atom is odd to me.
everything i perceive bears a permanent stamp of inconceivable mystery.
it seems i live in constant amazement. :)

i like insects too. the ones i somehow find unpleasant though are roaches and alike (crickets, mole crickets). i mean, they are intersting just kind of icky.

It's not THAT bad. But I was thinking, since you said that getting Clerks - The Animated Series would be kinda difficult for you, I was wondering if I perhaps could manage to copy it to tape (I have a friend who can do it and it's only 6 episodes) and send it to you. Would you like that? If you do then I'd need to know if you can play PAL tapes. If not then... I'll have to plan ^_^;.
