No offense, but firefly doesn't do anything for me, namewise. I want a name that sorta speaks to me. And if I just want a subdomain, I can go to slashcity as well. There I'm on a slash friendly server, I think it's reliable, and I'd get a subdomain, too. Having a domain of my own isn't really my priority. I just want a place to stay and I need lots a webspace since I like to have galleries and crap.
So, did I get you right? You're actually thinking aboutn buying webspace of your own and then hosting sites there, yes?
You know, something that always makes me think is that many, almost all, webhost require you to stay adult-contentless. And that's what slash is. In other words, when they get you, and they might, they can not only kick you off, they might also make you pay a sum that you agreed on in the TOS when registering. I've seen that a couple of times now and that makes me suspicious. That's why I want to be on a slashfriendly server.
