*yawns tiredly*

Still no Tom. But he said his DSL modem is there and all hooked up. They only need the ISP to hook up on their end and they should be set. Apparently they promised to do it by 5 PM, but we all know how those companies are.

I didn't sleep that bad last night. But still not enough. I woke up 3 mins. too early (that's not too bad), but right in time to prevent a nightmare from getting worse. It started out nicely, but soon it got really icky. I dreamt that there was another species of spiders that was less dangerous than actual spiders, pretty much like there are bees and wasps. They had pointy legs thought prevented them from walking up walls and they had faces like rats with HUGE teeth. Very scary. I'm glad I woke up.

I got a lot of stuff done today. Went to the tutorial which was really nice. It's always more like a casual chat with a good friend. We talked about my project and what I could do for nature writing. I had originally planned on writing a paper on Isabella Bird and Lewis & Clark, right? So now apparently Kathleen (tutorette) and Richard (nature writing guy) have talked about me when they met up to arrange details about my paper and they realized I was into creative writing, just like Richard is, so they agreed that I should write a story instead of a paper. O.o; Okay? Well, of course I'd be stupid not to take that opportunity. So, yay, I'll write a story! On nature... O.o;;; HELP!

VK was very odd today. I sat there, all groggy since it's such an early class. One of the presenters had chickened out, so instead of getting a presentation about the text the lecturer was literally questioning us on it. And hardly anybody had read it. So she got really mad and ended the class... 40 mins. early. That made me feel kinda bad...

Went to work earlier than. What else was I to do? Then I went to the tutorial and since the AAW class is no more (we're having extensive tutoring now), I had extra time. So I went to the library and copied some extra texts I need. A girl from nature writing was watching out there. I like her and we chatted for a bit. Then I wanted to leave and saw that the door to Richard's office was open. I looked inside and saw him at his computer. Open door policy and all. Way cool. *g* Anyway, I came inside and we arranged further details about my project. He's just such a nice guy. He started getting up (he doesn't like to sit very long) and was offering my yogurt raisins. Only, he couldn't find them so he started searching for them. In the process he showed me his Tibetan prayer flags that his sister had sent him from NY and a picture of him and Peter Matthiesson and "a woman who tried to be important". We then started talking about the effects of flashlight in complexion (he's very dark-skinned). Then he finally found the raisins and offered me a whole bunch. We talked about creative writing a bit more and then he gave me all of the raisins and told me to bring them in for the next class since he'd only keep eating and the sweets in this country are way too yummy for his own good. LOL! So now I have my professor's yogurt raisins in my bookbag! Very odd.

I don't know what to write about in my project, to be honest. I'm debating whether I should write down my river story. It'd be nice and it'd fit into the nature writing theme. Only, I don't want it to sound too juvenile and I don't want to drift off into cheesy fairy-taleism. So, that'd be hard. But I think writing a story with the river as the main character would be nice. I just don't know if I can pull it off. I'll have to try, let the river talk, see what he has to say and then look if it'll work out. What bothered me a bit was that when I mentioned my idea Kathleen said that it has been done before. Namely by James Joyce, of all people. But from what I heard it's not quite what I had in mind. But I do feel a little disheartened now.

Lower-Saxony now allows divorce via internet? O.o; /random

Later I went to the local Yves Rocher store and got some nice creams and lotions. I had ordered a rehydrating cream from their special promotion offer and kinda liked it, so I decided to buy the rest of the series. It was all discounted in the store as well, so yay! I picked up a leaflet that explained the different kinds of lotions. One was working as regulation, one as nutrition and one as re-hydratation. My skin always being very dry, I assumed I need that when I ordered. Now I wasn't so sure about that anymore. Apparently, the Nutrition series gives your skin oil it lost. You need it when your skin is dry and flakey. That applies to my skin. However, it's also got patches of uncleanliness, where I get blackheads and stuff. That shouldn't happen in a skin that lacks oil. And putting on extra stuff would only deteriorate this condition. So, after talking to the lady there I was confirmed that I rather need moisture than oil. So all is well ^_^. I also got a perfume creme of my favorite scent, Shafali. *sniffs it* Ah... I love cosmetics... *dork* I also joined the Yves Rocher Club. It's for free and it gives me extra goodies. Weeeeh! More free stuff!

Okay, guess I should work on my school stuff now. Hmmm... drawing for my Nature Writing journal would be school stuff! *^_^*
