I realize that I'm probably quite alone with my problem, but I truly despise Fridays. I can't stand the 4 hours of grammar lecture that I'm forced to bear. No way... they're killing me. So boring and so mind-blowing difficult. And absolutely pointless, for that matter. I mean, it's okay for future teachers that they have to take those classes, since they must know the stuff on the dot in order to explain it to their students. But me? What do I need it for? I'd say, as long as I don't make any mistakes, they should leave me bloody alone. Yes-siree.

And the worst thing about these lectures is that I have to kill four hours between them, where I have really nothing to do. Today I could at least go to the library and get my new books (loads and loads on Shakespeare! Wowsers! *_*), but that was about it. Originally I had planned to go shopping a bit, but it was so awfully cold that I didn't feel like it. So I hung out in the other libraries. That was nice, too. The libraries at our U aren't the nicest though. First I was in the English lit one. The chairs were horrible, but I got to read a bit of 'Melmoth the Wanderer' which was rather cool. I heard about that yesterday in Same Sex and I wanted to learn more about it. This actually inspired me for our book.

Later I moved over to the American lit library which was easily the comfiest. At least the chairs are upholstered over there. And they have cool books, too, like illustrated books with photographs, art and so on. And other interesting stuff. I found a whole corner just with Queer Studies stuff. I was in heaven! *_* But more about that later.

Anyway, managed to kill the time there quite nicely. When I was finally released from the classes, my head hurt horribly. I then drove home to my parents' house with a friend and we took twice a long as usually, since on Fridays the roads always are stuffed. Bleh!

So, Fridays are not nice...

At least I got to chat with my Dear Friend, and we could brainstorm a great deal for our book. He made a marvelous banner for it, which I found so inspiring that I wanted to sit down and write right away. I really love his style. I wish I could draw like that... *sighs*
