The US doesn't need terrorists to kill hostages! They can do it just fine by themselves!

Short version: An Italian reporter was held hostage in Iraq. Italy negotiated and freed her, she was handed over to three agents and driven to an airport. On the way there the US army shot at their jeep because it supposedly failed to stop at a check-point, wounding the hostage and killing an Italian agent in the process! Words fail me.

And what is it the US publicizes?
"She's been freed. She's with US forces."

More on that.

Dear user,

Frienditto is not affiliated with LiveJournal in any way. As such, this website does not have access to any entries which are not publicly viewable. It's not like I post supersecret stuff friends only, but I still don't want it to be archived anywhere! So please, if anyone of you is using Frienditto, let me know. It's only fair to me.

Dealing with communities more often lately I have two things to say.

MEGA-PEEVE #1: People who's only thing to navigate by in their journals is a hugeass lame piece of poem or whatever with random words highlighted that either lead to the usual LJ stuff (calendar, userinfo etc.), but also other people's LJs and even weblinks. It's nonsensical, it's annoying and a damn nuisance when you actually try to find their userinfo.

MEGA-PEEVE #2 (and that is by far the biggest): people with fucking disgusting usericons. God, they make me sick. The icons I have seen over past two weeks have traumatized me for life. I've seen animated versions of people have a hole drilled into their heads, zombies devouring flesh, people having their throats cut, a gutted anime girl, a tied up girl cut to pieces and put on a sushi platter, kitties with their tails cut off... the list is endless. I'm fucking sick of it. Why can't some people get it into their thick heads that not everyone finds the display of gore and violence funny or cool? What goes on in these people's heads that they have this need to gross out people with their fucking usericons? I don't get it. And what annoys me even more is that it's not even against LJ policy. Nooo, as long as it's not your DEFAULT icon you can have any sick and demeaning icon you like, even if you use it all the fucking time in every goddamn community you go to. I'm so sick of it. I know why I usually stay away from communities. That way at least I'm not constantly exposed to the pond scum of human social interaction. Goddammit.
