Don't feel like posting much. I'm so so tired. I slept but 6 hours yesterday and now it's only around that, too. Watched the whole Oscars thing together with Fleur. It was much fun. Went to bed at the break of dawn and felt very sick because of it. I really really don't want to see the early morning light.

Beside that, Steve Martin wasn't half as bad as I thought he'd be. Two years ago he was awful, now he was actually kinda funny, so I'm appeased. I liked it when he said "Yeah, that'll show 'em!" Yup, I'm sure Saddam was crying into his handkerchief because we dropped the red carpet *nods*. Okay, okay, I know that's not what it was about, but that's what it looks like. Steve Martin made a bunch of very funny jokes. But also a bunch of kinda odd ones. I mean, it was funny, the bit with straight and gay and the bunch of people he slept with and all, but it was also kinda embarrassing. I liked it how he really lightened up the mood.

The things that kicked ass were that TTT got best visual effects, Catherine best supporting actress, that Zellweger didn't get anything (God, she was scary! That hair! That dress! And this horrible face she was making all the time when she was still nervous about winning. After not getting it she was relaxing and looking better, just JESUS, she really freaked me out). It's very cool that Eminem got the Oscar. Way, way cool. Nicole, wonderful. I was so happy for her. Adrien Brody surprised the hell out of me, but he absolutely won me over with his wonderful speech. I liked it how he cut of the orchestra and made his war comment after all. First I thought "Oh nonono, please don't ruin the mood now, please!" but then he said a very decent thing and I loved him for that. "Let's pray for a swift and peaceful resolution." Exactly. We can't make the war just go poof anymore, let's just pray that not so many people get hurt and that it'll be over soon.

Adrien was definitely better than Michael Moore >_<. I was really happy for his Oscar, but boy did he ruin the mood. Did he ever. It was so clear that he'd get into trouble with saying "In a fictitious time with fictitious elections and a fictitious president and fictitious for a war." I mean, this is what we all expected of him, but he totally fucked up the mood with that. Before that everybody was into it for some good fun, didn't want to be all that political and all, and then he did that and the audience started screaming and booing, some applauded, most just sat there, straight face, not betraying their thoughts. And after that the audience lost it a lot more often. They howled and yelled and called in things... I didn't much like that. So, I resented him for ruining the mood like that.

I wonder if Chicago wasn't a bit overrated, but fine. I'm glad they got their awards. About Nicole, guess you only have to put on a rubber nose and Oscar, here we come! *g*

I'm a bit sad that there wasn't anything cool, as in a nice showact. Okay, there was that Chicago dance bit thingy, but still... It was kinda lame, all in all. Just a couple of montages and that's it.

Okay, now I lost my point. *thinks* Oh well, that was the Oscars. All in all it was a pleasant experience. It was over faster than I expected, they really spared us the endless honorary and lifetime achievement crap. Last year it was extremely annoying with Redford taking forever and everybody giving standing ovations and clapping their heads off. Peter O'Toole was down to the point and really cool about it, so that was pleasant. I don't quite get why they had to show us 95 past Oscar winners. That was kinda annoying and lengthy.

Oh, and the best line ever? Steve Martin: "You know there aren't any losers in this house tonight. But we're about to change all that." hehehe

Yesterday, Fleur and I watched Daredevil. It was very nice. I liked that movie. It didn't capture me like Spider-Man did initially, but it was still very nice. The fight scenes were awesome and Daredevil is one cool character. I just love a hero with a disability and blindness is just way cool. I love it how he handles it and all, even though I don't quite believe it to be possible QUITE like that. Then again, nuclear waste accident etc. We know the drill. Okay... so, that was very nice.

The special effects kicked ass too, how they visualized his vision and all. I also liked it how we got to catch a glimpse into the life of a blind man, the way he arranges his things, folds his bills etc. It was also very romantic, also sad, confusing, funny. Nice movie, yes. Ben Affleck's eyes looks SO odd.

Oh, and Kevin Smith's cameo! I didn't know it and I was squealing when I saw him! It makes total sense! After all, he wrote the script for Daredevil for a long time, he really loves the comic, he's best friends with Affleck. So yeah, makes perfect sense! ^____^

All in all the story was a bit lame. Only a bit. I mean, I loved the arrangement of the scenes, how it starts out with a retrospective and then returns to present and then moves on etc. That was very nice. But I assume they had to cut a lot to ensure a better rating and cut down on the length and it really harmed the story. Matt had hardly any depth. We see him as a lawyer once. It's an important part of his life and that's all you see? I bet die-hard fans of Daredevil were mad at that. Most characters hardly had any depth. The romance bit was over before it began. If they had dragged it on a bit more it would have had a lot more impact on the viewers. The end wasnt that emotional either since you barely had time to adjust to the only possible conclusion etc. So, it all was very swift and only scraping the surface. I know they cut, so I assume that's why it was that way and even though the cuts were decent and didn't really kill anything crucial it kinda rubbed away all depths and peaks. So, that's kinda sad. I hope they restore this for the DVD. In this case I'll buy the Extended Version ^_^.

I love superheroes. *happy sigh*

We had sandwiches at the diner before the movie. Very nice. Had lots of fun. We got our food with US flags and Stars and Stripes napkins O.o;;;. Bro picked up the flag and pretended to set it on fire. We said we'll pile it up later and make a bonfire. In the end we put the flag on top of the table decoration and I wrote "No War" on it with red lip liner. ^_^;;; Okay, it was silly, but we had a good time.

In the afternoon, Fleur and I went to the ostrich farm nearby. I got bitten into the thumb by one. It wasn't bad, but some skin scraped off. *licks thumb* That's the problem with them, you can only feed them by putting your hand half-way down their beaks and they're really greedy. But it was fun. We found out they like grass so I fed them some. Gonna return there with nicer grass some other time. Maybe they like apples or grapes. Gotta look that up. It was really fascinating. The ostriches are such noble birds! Yes! Birds! So big, taller than myself, with large pretty eyes, looooong lashes. And such silky feathers. Of course, the males are a lot prettier than the girls (as usual? XD).

We also saw two ostriches getting it on. *giggles* That looked extremely funny. The guy was having a good time on top, waving his wings around wildly while she was sitting there, looking positively bored. All like "Guh... hurry up, will ya." At some point she even put down her head and waited for him to finish. All the while he was working on her two other ostrich ladies were sitting next to them, ruffling their feathers and getting all excited. Bet they hoped to score too. But too bad for them, once the guy was finished he shook himself and walked off. Very funny sight.

*yawns* It's 2:30 now, weather is very nice, my head hurts... again, fourth day in a row now. Yay me. Fleur is still in bed, which is just fine. I don't know why I only need so little sleep right now. Wait, I need a lot more sleep, I just don't get it. Stupid body. I got a new Yves Rocher catalogue. Yaaaaaay! *goes to playn spending money* Hehe...

Oh, Sher! He was nasty last night. Even though we were still awake at 6 he went right upstairs and woke up my mother so she'd give him food! >_< Brat prince.
