Nov. 14th, 2001 08:14 pmToday, I was reminded that my order that I had placed months ago at the Japanese bookstore had arrived! An order I already had paid to boot! How cool is that? Now I've got a nice bag full of mangas and artbooks although I'm completely broke! Yay!
I've got... Kizuna VIII, Fake 7 (finally! I got so tired boring it from my friend!), Yami no Matsuei 1 and 2, You Higuri artbook Poison (be-ooo-tiful!), YnM Character book and Sketch book. Hm... I think that's all. Yay! The YnM artbooks are a bit of a disappointment tho... They're very small sized, not much bigger than a manga and there are maybe 10 pages of color illustrations in it on the whole. Ah well. The drawings are nice.
I must say, I think I found out that I like the YnM anime a lot better than the actual manga. I find the drawings very confusing and sometimes they have this shounen-ish brutal elements about it. You know? Like Akira, with veins and bulging flesh and lots of gore and blood. Only sometimes, but still... It always puts me off big time. Like, OMG, when Tsuzuki kills that boy when he's possessed, that's SO gruesome! I mean, I thought the anime was violent at that point, but the manga is a lot worse... *thinks about the ripped out eyeball and the broken rips that stick out of the steaming carcass* Ew...

Gonna make myself some food now. I'll have bread and eggs. Hmmmm...
