Rudely awakened...
Oct. 12th, 2001 10:32 amThis morning I woke up by a loud thud, following by meowing and cursing. I fell asleep again. Then, at around 10 I woke up with my Mom yelling my name from two stories below my room! Being quick at waking up, I jumped out of bed and ran upstairs, still half asleep.
The problem turned out to be a mouse and a bird that Sherlock had brought into the house at once! My mom is mortally afraid of mice. Now, the mouse was lying in the bedroom while the bird was downstairs. For some reason, my mom was half crazy, almost crying. She said the bird flying towards her when she opened the door gave her such a scare. I can see that, but I don't see why she still had to be that upset three hours afterwards.
Anyway, I told her to calm down and then got a glove so I could pick up the bird. First, it was flapping with its wings, but then it allowed me to gently carry it outside. To my great relief, it flew off the moment I placed it on the flowerpot.
The mouse was a different matter... It was lying in front of the curtains, the feet stretched far away from its body. But its eyes were open. I thought it to be dead and wanted to pick it up, but it moved. I felt so sorry... I carefully put it on a shovel and carried it outside. I couldn't spot any injuries, but I assume they're internal. *sighs* Poor thing... I didn't know what to do with it. My mom told me to toss it down the ravine, but no fucking way! I put it on a bed of leaves at a safe place so Sherlock won't finish it off. But I don't think it'll survive... I wish I could have helped...

First, Mom didn't want to let Sherlock into the house anymore, but I yelled at her that he's a member of the family and she can't treat him like that. That helped. He's upstairs now, sleeping. I mean, I'm not particularly fond of him killing all sorts of animals, but it's his nature and we can't do anything about that, as much as it sucks...

Oct. 12th, 2001 01:21 pmI just got myself a sitemeter for Son of the Dark. I saw it at chaobell's website and I liked that cute little button you can use as a counter. Because I never much adored those counters that make a huge fuss about all the hits you got. I find that embarrassing... I always wanted to keep the invisible counter, but after The Counter discontinued the free usage for those, I wasn't left with much choice. This sitemeter apparently has a very detailed site report. That's cool! Let's see how long I can keep it before they start charging for that too... >_<

Oct. 12th, 2001 01:41 pmSince I had left bed so early today, my mom took me to buy new clothes. I got a really cool pair of jeans, like they're in right now, looking a bit dirty. But this one's sprinkled with rainbow glitter. Very nice. I also got two black shirts, one saying "Wild" in silver and the other one saying "Bitchy" in gold. Okay, it's not the top notch, but it's a decent shirt to wear underneath a pullover. I got another one with a glittery US flag in the shape of a heart. I'm not that fond of the US flag (Li's gonna kill me!), but I kinda liked the shirt. Oh, and I got a nice fluffy purple pullover.
When my dad got home I showed him my shopping and he said "70 bucks for a mouse and a bird? Good rates!"

I've got a magazine with a Ewan McGregor interview and nice pictures, too, plus an anime episode to look forward to and a nice coloring job to do! Wai!
Oh, and my dad looked at my hair and said "Is this your new manga hairdo?" Yeeeeeeih!! *_*

Oh, it connects now. At least something... but still, something's screwed with Photoshop. I know it. It fucks up every time I want to start it! I hope the pic isn't fucked up now.... ó_ò I had to work over an hour to prepare it for coloring! Damn...
