I don't even know why I bother. But I guess it's because I started saving all the articles on that deplorable gay slur incident from the start and now I want it to be complete so when I look back at it in a couple of years for some reason I'll be able to have the complete imdb coverage. So, indulge me.

Washington Calls On Top Gay PR Man

Troubled Isaiah Washington has hired one of Hollywood's top gay public relations gurus to help boost the actor's image after his infamous homophobic controversy. Washington recently underwent counseling after his use of the word "f****t" to describe a homosexual Grey's Anatomy cast mate turned gay leaders against him. And now he's bringing in openly gay PR Howard Bragman to help him with damage control. A source tells website Tmz.com that Bragman is known for "telling it like it is." Bragman's Fifteen Minutes staff have confirmed the legendary PR has added Washington to his client list. A spokesman says, "Our work with Isaiah is about his future, not the past. There is an important dialogue in our society about diversity that needs to happen, and Isaiah is uniquely positioned to be the catalyst for this." Washington called cast mate T.R. Knight a "f*****t" during an onset fight with co-star Patrick Dempsey last year. The actor, who once played a gay man in Spike Lee film Get On The Bus, repeated the slur during a backstage interview after the Golden Globe Awards - as he attempted to clear his name.

Heigl Quits Contract Talks with 'Grey's Anatomy'

Katherine Heigl has dropped out of contract talks with bosses of hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy over a salary dispute. The star plays Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens on the show and is reportedly upset she is receiving less money than her co-stars. A source tells American publication People, "Katie is disappointed and hurt that (the show's producer) Touchstone doesn't value her as much as her other co-stars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington." Sources on the set also say tension has emerged after a spin-off series was announced featuring Kate Walsh's character, Dr. Addison Montgomery. A source tells American publication Star, "The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of (Walsh). They each thought they'd be the one chosen to get their own show, and now they're giving Kate the cold shoulder."

I don't know. I don't recall any other show that's had this much drama coverage in recent years. Okay, if you don't count the frequent drunk driving charges reports for the cast of Lost and the occasional bitch fights on the set of Desperate Housewives. Either way, this is really weird. In all honesty, I don't understand why the show is so popular. Sure, I enjoy watching it when it's on, but it just baffles me that the show has such a huge fanbase and is continuously rivaling House for best medical drama. It's a soap, for crying out loud!

But I guess you can't argue about audience's taste. Either way, I wonder if this is normal and there's just so much coverage of it because the show is so popular, or whether they are extraordinarily wanky there and on their way to their own destruction. Somehow something tells me it's the former. Too bad... hehehe.
