Sting - Murder by Numbers

Murder by Numbers
by Sting
Once that you've decided on a killing
First you make a stone of your heart
And if you find that your hands are still willing
Then you can turn a murder into art

There really isn't any need for bloodshed
You just do it with a little more finesse
If you can slip a tablet into someone's coffee
Then it avoids an awful lot of mess

It's murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your ABC
Murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your ABC

Now if you have a taste for this experience
And you're flushed with your very first success
Then you must try a twosome or a threesome
And you'll find your conscience bothers you much less

Because murder is like anything you take to
It's a habit-forming need for more and more
You can bump off every member of your family
And anybody else you find a bore

Because it's murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your ABC
Murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your ABC

Now you can join the ranks of the illustrious
In history's great dark hall of fame
All our greatest killers were industrious
At least the ones that we all know by name

But you can reach the top of your profession
If you become the leader of the land
For murder is the sport of the elected
And you don't need to lift a finger of your hand

Because it's murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your ABC
Murder by numbers one two three
It's as easy to learn as your A B C D E

You aren't by any chance watching "Copykill", are you?

Busted! XD

I love that movie.

isn't it 'Copycat'?
i like that movie too, though it's probably mostly because of Sigourney..

Yeah it's "Copycat", but in the dub version it's called "Copykill". Annoying habit to take English titles that aren't clear immediately to the general public who doesn't speak English too well and switch it around into something that is easier to understand. A lot of times one doesn't even realize this isn't the original title. I knew it was called "Copycat" but I somehow totally erased this from my memory! *g*

And yes, Sigourney is really good in that one. I think I like the movie because of my morbid fascination with serial killers... >_>;

>>>I think I like the movie because of my morbid fascination with serial killers... >_>;
hope not to the point of wanting to meet one in action.. *g*

LOL! If you mean meeting as in him waiting for me in a dark alley with a hacksaw, then no. But if I had the chance to actually talk to such an individual I think it'd be very interesting.

I think I like the movie because of my morbid fascination with serial killers...

We have so many interests in common, it's starting to freak me out! Maybe we're twins, separated at birth.

LOL! This is weird! Whenever one of us has some obscure and weird fascination the other one can buy right into it! XD; Maybe we ARE twins. But after seeing your pics I highly doubt that... >_>; *g*

You should have seen my excited squee post after I managed to nab a set of antique glass syringes ;_;. It was so pwetty! That and the one about the poison bottles... >_>;;;

Hahaha, I saw it too. I loved it when I saw it for the first time, but yesterday I found it pretty goofy sometimes.
And I'd like to know when exactly Jeffrey Dahmer beheaded someone on the street and then threw the body in a river. Duh.

[identity profile] silversolitaire.livejournal.com 2003-12-21 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen then movie countless times now. I still like it! XD; I just hate it that the nice cop has to die ;_;.

Yeah the Dahmer bit annoys me every time >_<;. There are other killers they could have picked who chopped off heads. I guess they just needed some gay serial killer and Gacy probably didn't fit too well ^.^;.

They might have made mistakes, one or two dialogues might be a bit silly, but I'm not going to pretend I'm not going to see it when it's on TV the next time. And again and again and again. Because serial killers, forensics and cute cops rule my world. :)

I can feel an extended session at crimelibrary.com coming on.

crimelibrary is the best website in the entire world ;_;.
