Drew Barrymore: "I Am Bisexual"

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle star Drew Barrymore has laid to rest years of speculation by confirming she is bisexual - and claims to have bedded "lots of women". The Hollywood actress - who's had two failed marriages, and is now dating The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti - has confirmed she harbors sexual feelings for both sexes. Barrymore has confessed to sleeping with a long line of women during her troubled teenage years - which saw her battling a drug addiction from the age of 11. She says, "Do I like women sexually? Yeah, I do. Totally. I have always considered myself bisexual. I love a woman's body. I think a woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful. Being with a woman is like exploring your own body, but through someone else. When I was younger I used to go with lots of women. Totally - I love it."

The thing is... does she really mean it or is she one of these women who says they're bi to turn men on, and because they think it sounds cool? If she's really sincere about being bisexual than more power to her. Alanis is also bi, did you know?

i think she means it, to be honest; I've always respected Drew as a woman and an actress and I don't think she's that kind of person. Not, of course, that I know her personally, but especially in the fame business - that sort of thing can destroy an actor or actress's reputation by a lot of their more conservative fans. so I'm inclined to believe ^^

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I think it's a bit different for women and especially when the "only" admit to their bisexuality. I think there's this belief that all women are bisexual anyway and then most men find the idea of two women sexy and women don't mind yadda-yadda. So it's easier for women to say "Hey I like chicks, too!" than for a men to even suggest he might find men attractive. Of course this is just meant as a general note. When I read it I first was a bit doubtful, too, because of the aforementioned considerations, but then I decided that Drew isn't that sort of person. She's always been open and honest about everything in her life and I doubt she needs that kind of publicity. So I believe this to be genuine.

I think Drew is sincere. I was debating it at first, too, but I really don't think she needs this kind of publicity. I disliked her wording a bit at some points, but all in all it seemed sincere and genuine.

I heard about Alanis. She also played a bi woman in Sex and the City! ^^;
