Great. Some kids stole our mailbox during Valpurgis Eve (along with throwing an egg against the window, smashing some flower pots and wrapping the cars in toilet paper). Anyway, now that the mailbox is gone, we don't receive any mail! This sucks buckets. And I TOLD my dad to take off the damned mailbox because it's way too exposed and way too tempting not to. But nooooo, he rather chained up the gates which were securely fixed anyway. So now he's all surprised that someone actually tore off a mailbox that's exposed on a pole for everyone to see. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
I really don't get it. It's all fine and dandy to roam the streets and pull a couple of good-natured pranks on people. The egg is okay. No problem with that. But they shouldn't throw eggs against the wall, as they did to the neighbor, or on cars, which always messes up the air condition. Toilet paper is okay too, I guess, if it hadn't been raining so much >_<. And the whole mailbox and gate stealing business is okay, too, I guess. It's tradition. But kids don't understand this. They just hear they can go wild and so they do it. And then they spray paint on cars and doors, damage cars, tear off mailboxes and gates, causing lot of damage and instead of just hiding them in then next bush they take them away. AND they steal sewer covers, which isn't funny at all, but in fact very dangerous. People could fall in there and if a car's wheel gets caught in it in can cause severe damage to the car.
It's really annoying when kids take the whole idea of Valpurgis Eve and pranks way too far. >_<
>_< !!!!!!!!!!! And now dad just said he'll repair the mailbox tomorrow!! That is TOO LATE! I want my mail TODAY! >_< Then we won't even get our mail tomorrow morning. GAH!!!
