[some rambling on X-Men 2, no real spoilers]
Today I went to see X-Men 2. That movie rocks me socks. Been looking forward to it for months. I want to have Nightcrawler's children, seriously. His scenes are simply beyond cool. Even though they interpreted his character different from what I would have done. He was a bit shy and sometimes even silly. Okay, he is silly in the comic, but he never struck me as shy. I thought that was a bit odd, but it made him the more loveable. I liked his deep religiousness and his praying. And his scenes... just wow. It's funny, bro and I read an article about the movie before and it said that the sound Nightcrawler makes when teleporting was "BAMF". Don't ask me. But we laughed a lot about it. And when we heard it for the first time, we both looked at each other and said "BAMF!!!!!!!" LOL.
What annoyed me greatly was that somehow the audience cracked up every time Nightcrawler said his real name, Kurt Wagner. Why the fuck is that so funny? I don't get it.
Wolverine, bad ass, as ever. Love him to bits. One of his scenes made me turn to bro and squeal "He is SO cool!" *g*
Oh, and what pleased me greatly was that when in this one seen when someone scrolls through a computer file you can see a bunch of mutant names and one of them is "Le Beau, Remy". *le squeal* Maybe there's a chance they'll bring him up in a third part or so. That'd be awesome. The movie certainly left enough potential for a sequel. Am deeply puzzled and saddened and a bit disappointed but kinda expected it.
What else did I do today. Parents were away on some bike trip. Weather was wonderful. I started making papier machée which I had prepared the other day by shredding newspaper for 2 hours and soaking it for over 24 hours. I made very fine, mouldable papier machée which required lots of preparation, cooking even, squeezing, adding of stuff etc. In the end I had great, claylike material to work with. Only, it wouldn't allow any interruption, which I hadn't expected. So I worked on sculpturing for 4 hours or so, making lots of things just because I had way too much clay and didn't want to waste it. So I made my picture frame which I want to give to my tutor as a thank you for working so hard on my story with me and I made a little crow sculpture, very small and cute. Then I still had lots of clay left, so I made an ugly cat sculpture. I'm saying ugly because even though the sculpture is done expertly, if I may say so, it turned out to be an ugly cat. I feel very sorry for the cat, but it just has a big nose and all. Oh well. I'll see if I can fix it once I paint it. ^_^;;;
*yawns* That's it, basically. My fingers look horrible. Stupid ink from the paper. All black. Hm... tired...
