Barbie and Ken... Romance Novel Style!!!!!

I agree with all those points. I don't think I've ever seen a long-haired Ken before... *inspects* Even though the face-mould doesn't look like Ken's. Alan maybe... not sure. I'll need to see it up close to be sure. Also, see those pecs? O.o; My Ken's always were kinda flat-chested! ^_^;

Anyway, I found this pic on a German doll shop's site. They announced it for February. As soon as I know more I will let you know. I couldn't find it on the official Barbie site, but it doesn't look like a "fan creation". Hmm...

Aha! Heureka. Apparently, Mattel is going to put out a new series, Romance Novels (duh). This is the first part. The description reads as follows:

"This giftset is based on the best-selling romance novel, The Raider, written by Jude Deveraux. First in the Romance Novel Series, Barbie is wearing a violet blue dress that falls off her shoulders with long blonde tousled hair. An overskirt of periwinkle chiffon is pulled up at the left hip to reveal a very full underskirt of violet blue jacquard. Complete with a sash of teal iridescent chiffon and a small bouquet of flowers. Ken has brown, long side swept hair and comes wearing a sheer white cotton shirt, tight black pants accented with a black belt."

I like this one already, to be honest! Piratey Ken! *mwrawr* I usually try to collect all of one series if I can! ^.^

Ken with long hair is actually quite nice. I fear to find how expensive this'll be though.

Now seriously (uhm, I was serious, actually... o.o) so far there's no long-haired Ken I know of. So, no blonde one either. I have a cross-dressing Barbie though! XD As for the price, I don't know yet but since it's going to be a series I expect it to be around 79 $-ish. The Bond set is about that much and it certainly is pretty enough. Hmm... *can't wait*

That'd be the first *pretty* collectible Ken I'd have! All my other Kens are utterly useless for slashy posing. I mean... would you want to pose the Tinman and the Scarecrow together? Henry Higgins? Rhett Butler? Hm... actually... *slaps self* No! Rhett Butler belongs to Scarlett! I have a Merlin-Ken, too, but I'm not so much into the geriatric stuff... XD

Oh! Now I know! *takes out the Phoebus doll* He's not collectible, but at least he's good-looking! *g*

Honestly, I don't collect a lot of Barbie stuff. I have lots and lots of toys, but most of my Barbie collected stuff is their horses. I love Barbie horses! I'm such a dork. Ahahaha. But I recently got all three of the new Mermaid Barbies too, as I think they're pretty (Well, Kaylee, Barbie and, uh, Krista? or something).

I've honestly never really looked into buying "collector" Barbie's. Gosh is that stuff expensive! I'm sort of glad I don't want them. Sadly, I'd just want Ken from that Romance Novel set, not Barbie. I'm so bad. LOL
