I decided to go on a reading spree at the library.

This one is new:
Frantzen, Allen J.: Before the Closet

And these ones I had rented before and want to reread:
Davidson, James N.: Courtesans & Fishcakes
Dover, Kenneth J.: Greek Homosexuality

Wai! *_* It's gonna be fun! I'm especially curious about Before the Closet! I just love Gay & Lesbian studies. I wish I could do it properly, not just on my own... *heavy sigh*

Ooh, Courtesans and Fishcakes is a good one. Davidson actually gave a talk here at Penn last fall -- had I mentioned that to you? It was arguing against Dover's very restrictive notions of all homosexual activity in Greece as fitting into that active/passive model. (I agree with him 120%! *g*) Dover's views are still the ones accepted by most of the scholarly community, though.
