OMG this is too good to be true...

Gay Bond

Daniel Craig will have a male love interest in the next Bond movie. The British actor has attracted a large gay following after sharing an onscreen kiss with another man in his latest movie Infamous, and film bosses are keen to capitalise on this new status. 'Infamous' documents the life of author Truman Capote. In the movie, Craig plays convicted killer Perry Smith who has a relationship with Capote, played by British actor Toby Jones. 'Bond 22' - the follow-up to Craig's debut 007 movie Casino Royale, which is due to be released in November - will now see a homoerotic relationship develop between the suave spy and secret agent Felix Leiter, played by Jeffrey Wright. A film insider said: 'Bond will always be a hit with the ladies. But Daniel has a massive gay fan base and that can't be ignored. 'There will still be sexy Bond Girls. But the modern Bond will be more sensitive.' Craig has already been heavily criticised by some Bond fans unhappy at his casting in the role and this latest news seems certain to cause more furore. The 38-year-old star was previously lambasted for wearing a lifejacket on the speedboat journey to his first Bond press conference, his confession that he hates guns, his alleged inability to drive a manual car and for reportedly losing two teeth in his first fight scene.

Somehow... I can't believe it. This is like... too good to be true! This would be the wet dream of my youth coming true! D: Even though I'll have to admit that I'm not completely happy with Felix Leitner being the one.. but beggars can't be choosers I guess, eh? Of course, it's also a bit annoying, because this means that I'll have to go see the new Bond even though I was actually going to boycott it since I disapprove of Daniel Craig as Bond. But if Bond is going to smooch a guy? OMG I'm totally in!

hahaha! yes, there's so much lameness around Craig as Bond. :))) the last sentence sums it up nicely.. :)
i don't think Bond will smooch a guy in the latest movie. and the next one is still too distant. what if they just released the info so that Casino Royale gets a wider audience.. :p
maybe i could watch it if they censored out his head? i haven't seen the ones with Brosnan either.

Yeah, I wasn't happy at all with the new Bond. There were so many attractive options and they came up with that goblin. I mean, nothing against Craig, I'm sure he's a nice guy and all and he's probably a good actor even though I don't recall any movies I've seen with him right off the top of my head, but he's just no Bond to me, sorry.

I realize I've misread the article. And there I was, getting my hopes up for Casino Royale, but they were actually talking about the next one. Booo... yeah I guess they're just drumming up publicity. That and they're probably vaguely testing the response to see if they could pull it off. Honestly, I think it could work. Bond is very sexual and he never puts any emotion into it. For him it's a weapon to manipulate people, so why shouldn't he use it against men as well? But with Felix all this doesn't work of course. And I really can't see Bond going all sensitive, dressing all metro and going out to shop for new curtains. It was bad enough when he got married D:.

Why haven't you seen any movies with Brosnan? I think he's a really good Bond, even better than Moore IMO. Die Another Day is especially good. JMHO.

(that icon always cracks me up :p )

he got married??!! what? when? O_o to whom?

i don't have objections to Brosnan being Bond, actually.. i just don't much like Brosnan..

(I know this is why I used it XD)

Yes, he totally did! In "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" he met Tracy di Vicenzo and he fell in love and got married to her, only to have her get shot dead right there and then on their way to the honeymoon. That's the only time he's gotten married out of love. He's gotten married another time (in "You Only Live Twice"), but it was just a show and, oh wonder, she got offed, too. He's just not lucky, haha.

Too bad you don't like Brosnan... I wuvs him ;_;... *g*

*jaw drops*

If only we could have Sean Bean back... damn you, Bond producers for making me care about the future of your franchise. My grandfather won't be amused, but I don't expect him to watch the new movies. He's more of a Sean Connery fan, while I have a soft spot for Roger Moore. I like the funny.

Yeah, really o.o; I don't know if this is kool or sad

Wow, I'm so suprised!

I always thought that would have made sense. I personally boycott Bond because the film version pisses all over the book version, but yeah, m/m Bond, I'll be there for that.

Also am I the only one that takes a bottle of voddy into the cinema and does a good time shuffle with the coke? I havent' been to the cinema for ages but last time I did there was no bar, and if there was it would probably be £50 for a watery beer anyway, bah.
