In "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" he met Tracy di Vicenzo and he fell in love and got married to her, only to have her get shot dead right there and then on their way to the honeymoon. That's the only time he's gotten married out of love. He's gotten married another time (in "You Only Live Twice"), but it was just a show and, oh wonder, she got offed, too. He's just not lucky, haha.
