Gah! I'm freezing my ass off.... *shivers* I can't believe that winter's arriving already! Where was the summer, dammit??? Sheesh!
Just scanned the illos of the German Harry Potter books as they appeared in the latest issue of Stern magazine. Some are quite nice. But I don't agree with the way some characters were presented. Then again, isn't it always like that? I think it's almost impossible to see an illustration and say: "YES! That's exactly how I've always seen it in my head." I mean, is does happen, but that's really rare. I can, however, pay full respect to the way these drawings are executed and that is marvelous. I like it how the artist uses the crayon. She even adds shadows to the cheeks where the glasses touch the skin. That's lovely. Hail Sabine Wilharm! ^_^
